1 Cup Steel Cut Oat Groats

2 Cups Whole Milk

2 Cups Water

2/3 Cup Hard Red Wheat Berries

3 Cups Water

1/2 Cup Sun-Dried Turkish Apricots

1/2 Cup Flame Raisins

1/2 Cup Sun-Dried Medjool Dates

1 Tablespoon Baharat Spice Blend

1/2 Cup Brown Sugar

2 Tablespoons Butter
-
1 Teaspoon Salt

1 Red Delicious Apple, diced
Directions

In a medium pot, bring 3 cups water to a boil. Add Hard Red Wheat Berries and lower to a simmer. Simmer on low for an hour until tender with a slight al dente texture. Drain and keep aside.

At the same time, in a separate medium pot, bring 2 cups milk and 2 cups water to a simmer. Add Organic Steel Cut Oats and cook for 20 to 30 minutes. Remove from heat.

While Organic Steel Cut Oats are still hot, stir in apricots, raisins, dates, and Baharat Spice Blend. Let sit for 10 minutes until dried fruits are soft. Add Hard Red Wheat Berries, brown sugar, and salt. Stir well. Return to low heat, stir in butter, cook on very low until piping hot.

Add more milk or water to achieve desired consistency. Garnish with fresh diced apple.
