Purple Sticky Rice
Purple Sticky Rice is traditional rice native to Thailand with a sweet flavor and sticky texture when cooked. We selected high-quality grains that cook up with a beautiful shiny, indigo color for our Purple Sticky Rice.
Rinse well. Place 1 cup rice and 2 cups unsalted water in pot with lid, bring to a boil, cover, and simmer on low for 40 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand 10 minutes.
Storage & handling
Store in a dry, cool place for up to 12 months under optimal storage conditions.
This Purple Sticky Rice dessert is a street cart favorite in Thailand. A sprinkle of Toasted Sesame Seeds adds crunch and nutty flavor, while mango, pineapple or banana work well as delicious fruit toppings.
