Chinese Black Rice
Chinese Black Rice, also known as the Emperor's Rice, is glutinous medium-grain rice that's slightly sticky with a silky dark indigo color when cooked. We source all-natural rice with a rich, sweet flavor for our Chinese Black Rice.
Bring 1 cup rice and 1 3/4 cups water to boil in a pot over high heat. Cover, turn heat to low, and simmer until tender, about 25 minutes. Separate grains with a fork before serving.
Storage & handling
Store in a dry, cool place.
Congee is a savory rice porridge that is a breakfast staple in China.
