Brown Basmati Rice
Brown Basmati Rice is a long, whole grain, naturally aromatic brown rice grown in India. We source and select rice with its bran coating intact for higher fiber, firmer texture and stronger flavor than white basmati for our Brown Basmati Rice.
Place 1 cup of rice and 1 1/2 cup of water in pot with lid. Bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat and simmer for 25-30 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes. Season as desired and fluff with fork before serving.
Storage & handling
Store in a dry, cool place.
This traditional rich and heavy casserole is made a little lighter and healthier thanks to cauliflower and low-fat cheeses. Opt for fat-free cheese or dairy alternative for an equally delicious side dish. The brown rice keeps the casserole from getting sticky and is high in fiber.
